Women and Sustainability: Building a Green Future through Innovation and Environmental Responsibility
The Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit and the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Science, University of Baghdad, organized a lecture entitled “Women and Sustainability: Building a Green Future through Innovation and Environmental Responsibility.” The event was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan .
The lecture presented by delivered by Professor Dr. Wissan Rashid Salehaimed to highlight the role of women in society by emphasizing their continuous efforts to achieve environmental sustainability. It focused on their contribution to introducing innovative solutions through environmental responsibility to preserve green spaces. The lecture, d, focused on strengthening women’s role in sustainable development to achieve the United Nations’ goals of creating a livable and sustainable environment. It also emphasized the importance of local communities in combating climate change.
