Graduate Studies Division

An introductory brief about the department:

The Graduate Studies Division is one of the main pillars of the college, as it represents the important link between the data and outputs of postgraduate studies in the college and between the university presidency and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The Postgraduate Studies Division participates in solving the obstacles facing postgraduate students, starting from their admission to awarding them certificates, through close and fruitful cooperation with the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and heads of departments, as they form an integrated and solid circle.

Vision, Mission and Objectives:

Vision:

The Postgraduate Studies Division works in its field of specialization to complete all the requirements of postgraduate studies, as it represents the link between the college and the university to advance the level of postgraduate studies in a way that serves the college and raises its scientific level.

The message:

Covering the departments of the college with all official books that include instructions and laws for postgraduate studies and books directed by the university.

Objectives:

– The division aims to complete all the transactions of postgraduate students inside Iraq for higher diplomas – master’s – doctorate degrees from continuing and graduates by following solid practical mechanisms to advance the administrative reality for them – following all means to provide the requirements of

postgraduate studies and solve all obstacles that the student may face during Study

tasks and duties of the division:

• Answer the incoming mail from the university.

• Circulating the university’s books related to postgraduate studies to the departments as quickly as possible.

• Checking grade documents.

• Issuing regular and translated documents after being certified by the university.

• Follow up the Ministry’s instructions for postgraduate studies and check their implementation.

• Implementation of paragraphs related to postgraduate studies, which are presented to the College Council through the Secretariat of the College Council.

• Printing books and sending them to the university with regard to:

A – Acceptance of postgraduate students and their engagement.

B- Cancellation of acceptance, withdrawal and replacement of postgraduate students with an alternative

C- Extending the period of study for postgraduate students

D- Upgrading the registration and re-registration of registered students

F- Postponing the study of postgraduate students according to the relevant regulations and instructions.
