The lecture presented by Dr. Fouad Mahmoud included talking about the phenomenon of lunar eclipses when the Earth blocks the light of the sun from the moon, reviewing the three types of lunar eclipses, addressing the astronomical scientific information of the phenomenon of eclipses and eclipses, as well as the historical aspect of it in previous civilizations, with the presentation of the computational data for future eclipses and eclipses. Which will be seen in Iraq during this century, indicating astronomical calculations in the modern era, which are the basis for marine, air and space navigation, and depend on two true sciences: spherical astronomy and celestial mechanics, the two sciences with which man was able to invade outer space and reach the moon and land on it forty years ago.
