The lecture aimed to explain the occurrence of earthquakes, how they are distributed in the regions of the globe, the types of seismic waves generated as a result of their occurrence, the method of measuring the tremor and its intensity that are used in describing it, and how to determine its locations, its different types, the causes of its occurrence, its devastating effects that occurred in the past, and the means of protection that can make humans and vital facilities Seismically safe and where is Iraq seismically located.
