A lecture on cancer and its causes
The Department of Physics organized a seminar entitled “cancer and the causes of its spread” in the presence of students and those who concerned with the disciplines of medicine and physics.The seminar, which was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. (Baida Taher Seh), aimed to provide a full explanation about cancer, its definition, and its causes. Due to the presence of abnormal cells divided without control, cancer is able to spread to the rest of the body.
The seminar discussed the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, risk factors, complications, methods of treatment, awareness and prevention. The most important are stopping smoking, eating fruits and vegetables, healthy food, exercise and the importance of medical physics and science related to the disease.
