The department of chemistry launched the activities of its third session of the Arab Week of Chemistry, which is held annually with a large academic and student attendance. The session included activities and events specialized in chemistry science.This scientific forum, which is keen to be held by the College of Science at the University of Baghdad annually to remind students and the public  the awareness of the vitality of chemistry science as not just rigid science taught in the classrooms and laboratories of schools and universities, but it is a fundamental pillar of life and its sustainability in the field.
The activities of the week of chemistry, which was attended by the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. (Raid Kamel Nagy) and the head of the Iraqi chemists Prof. Dr. (Mahdi al-Sahlawi), scientific assistant, and the head of the department of chemistry.It is noteworthy that the first flash of the Arab week of chemistry began in the meeting of the thirty-fourth session of the Supreme Council of the Union of Arab Chemists in 2015 after the council decided that the last week of October each year is the Arab Week of Chemistry. College of Science at the University of Baghdad is keen to organize annually.
