The role of mathematics in maintaining environmental balance in a lecture held by the College of Science
The Department of Mathematics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a lecture entitled “Mathematics and its Applications in the Environment” in the presence of a number of students and those concerned with the disciplines of environment, mathematics, agriculture and veterinary medicine.
The lecture, which was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Fadel Reda and Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Naji Nasser, aimed to identify the important role that mathematics plays in all fields of life, including engineering, biological and economic, with an explanation of some mathematical models used in the food chains of biological societies.
