Doctoral thesis in the Faculty of Science on developing innovative therapeutic strategies for the treatment of urinary tract infections
The Department of Life Sciences of the college of Science, University of Baghdad, hosted a discussion of Phd thesis tagged “Impact of lubricants on some genes of the epidemiological phenomenon Proteus mirabilis” by student Muthanna Mufak Abdullah and supervised by Professor Dr. Baha Abdullah Lafta.
The aim of the research is to study the effect of probiotics on Proteus mirabilis bacteria as an antimicrobial agent and against the movement of ostensibly ivory and at the gene expression level, describing that urinary tract infections, often caused by pathogens such as Proteus mirabilis, involve the formation of biofilms, the production of urease enzyme and high antibiotic resistance.
